Art – Diana Brook

Diana has vast experience as a Head of Art and Assistant Headteacher. She is WJEC moderator for GCSE and A Level Art and was formerly an Assistant Headteacher. She is also involved in local arts projects and initiatives.

Biology – Wayne Phillips

Wayne has been both Assistant Headteacher, and, for many years, secondary school teacher and manager of Science with a Biology specialism.

Chemistry / Physics – Meg Hollinger

Meg teaches Science at Cwmtawe School in Neath Port Talbot, having previously taught in London where she had additional middle management responsibilities. Meg is a WJEC Team Leader for GCSE Chemistry.

Drama – Sian Selby

Sian joins us from another independent school, where she was Head of Drama. Previously, she worked at Badminton School in Bristol, and Olchfa School in Swansea, as well as schools abroad.

English – Phillip Higginson

Philip is an Oxford University graduate with many years teaching experience schools such as Ysgol Y Preseli, Bryn Tawe in Swansea and Ysgol Y Strade in Llanelli. He is also a WJEC examiner, and a fluent Welsh speaker.

English – Christina Morgan

Christina joins us with experience in teaching at both secondary schools, including Ysgol Aberteifi, and tertiary college – Pembrokeshire College. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from Cardiff University.

French / Spanish – Marta Valavazquez

Marta is a Spanish native who has also lived in France. She taught for some years at a local independent school and Pembrokeshire College, and has also worked at Aberystwyth University as a translator.

Geography – Pat Codd

Pat has wide-ranging experience as a Head of Geography and Head of Key Stage 3 at Ysgol Dewi Sant for many years.

LAMDA – Clare Hargrave

Clare is a LAMDA examiner and currently provides LAMDA for Llandovery College and St. Michael’s School.

Maths / IT – Scott Hammett

Scott was Head of Maths at Tasker Millward, and has pastoral experience as a Head of Year.

Music – Mark Thompson

Mark has taught and managed Music extensively in his career, from schools in Portsmouth and Ebbw Vale to Abu Dhabi. He is based in Pembrokeshire where he is a Church choirmaster.

PE – Anna Rue

Prior to relocating to her home county of Pembrokeshire, Anna taught at Pencoed School, Bridgend and Pontarddulais School, Swansea. She has extensive coaching experience and is a Duke of Edinburgh leader.

PE / Welsh – Tom Powell

Tom teaches and coaches at Pembrokeshire in a variety of sports-related roles. He is a native Welsh speaker and plays rugby for Narberth RFC; Tom has trained with the Welsh 7s rugby squad.

History / RS and PSHE will be delivered in the first instance by the Head / Deputy.
